A CFGD meet was held on 7th March at the residence of Mrs. Laksha Mehta in Hatibarkala.
Following decisions were taken:
- Setting up of two Chapters: In order to be more effective on a local level, besides increasing our membership, it was decided to set up different Chapters, catering to different localities. Two Chapters which were set up are (1)Vasant Vihar Chapter : Chapter Cooridnator: Mr Arun Sharma and (2)Dalanwala Chapter : Chapter Coordinator: Mrs. Ira Chauhan.
- Anti Plastic Campaign: Citizens For Green Doon will soon launch an Anti - Plastic movement in the city. Details are to worked out soon.
In the meeting, Forester MM Bainjwan was facilitated for helping in recent tree transplantation, we carried out a few weeks ago. Inspite of being on holiday he was there from 9am to 5pm, skipping lunch, like most of us. Mrs Jaya Singh presented a certificate of appreciation to him and Mr. Himanshu Arora, a box of "mithai". Mr. Bainjwan seemed touched by our efforts to laud his role and he has promised to help us in preventing tree felling in Doon on a personal level.
