Tree plantation was carried out along the boundary of the Municipal Park in Kedarpuram, with the help of Forest Department and people living nearby. About 35 trees of different species were planted.

Mayor Vinod Chamoli was the Chief Guest. He was welcomed with our green scarf instead of a flower garland. He seemed quite amused with that. He called upon people to plant trees and look after them. He said that children should be specially involved in plantation drives to make them more eco-conscious.
